Watching TV: Even Worse for Kids Than You Think

When my son was six weeks old, I was working as a housekeeper for a family who allowed me to bring him to work with me.  While I cleaned their home, I plopped my son in front of the Disney channel in his baby chair.  He remained there quite entertained until he became lonely or hungry.  I admit to understanding this wasn’t the best way to keep him occupied but being a working mother with a very low-income and no family availible, I didn’t have many options.  It may have been a very bad habit to get into, read why:
