Ok, maybe it is just me, but I thought that in terms of the environment, we were all supposed to be chipping in to downsize.  I spotted this article yesterday and I had to laugh.  This is the largest cruise ship in the world and also the largest ever constructed.  Why is this necessary?  Apparently, there are a lot of people out there that have excess cash on hand and they need to take a cruise right away on the largest ship ever built.  What kind of a mess will that create?  Check out the girth of the ship:

We recently adopted a dog from a neighbor who was going to take her to the pound.  She is one smart cookie.  Already, she is crate trained, house-trained, responds to important commands, and regularly communicates with us using her various dog sounds.  As a newbie dog owner, I will sometimes get down to her level and repeat her sounds.  Turning her head, she will look at me quizzically with great intelligence behind her eyes.  This article helped me understand why:

I bust my ass at the gym at least three times a week.  After about five months of hard work, I hardly see a difference.  I admit I reward myself with second helpings at dinner or a sweet treat on days that I spend extra time on the elliptical.  My hard core work-outs may be doing more harm than good.  Read why:
